We were very impressed with our latest treatment with David from Clear Defense! He remembered questions from his first visit over 5 months ago and also spent the time to ask and listen about our prior services. OUR PROCESS

Wasps and Hornets Build Fast. We Move Faster.

We find active nests, treat up to 25 feet high, no upcharge ever.

1. Inspect

We start by listening. Our technicians ask what you've been seeing and inspect the property to understand where pests are coming from and what conditions may be allowing them in.

2. Defend the Whole Property

Power sprayer treatment up to 30 ft, eaves, overhangs, every window and door seal, products that last 90 days, yard granulation included. Then we come back at 30 days to break the egg cycle.

3. Verify Every Step

After every visit, you get a defense report documenting every product by name, active ingredient, and EPA number. Your technician walks you through what was found and what was done. No mystery sprays. No guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about how ClearDefense protects your home, and why our process is different from day one.

What hornet species show up near Lexington, KY homes?

Bald-faced hornets are common near Lexington homes, building large visible paper nests in trees and under eaves during fall. Yellow jackets nest underground near patios and inside wall voids — often undetected until accidentally disturbed. Fayette County’s warm fall season gives hornets an active building window from May through October most years.

How dangerous are hornet nests near Lexington, KY homes?

Bald-faced hornets near Lexington homes are aggressive defenders that sting multiple times without warning if a nest is disturbed. Yellow jackets build underground nests near patios and in wall voids throughout Fayette County. Both species pose real risk to anyone with a sting allergy. Kentucky’s warm Falll season gives both a building window from May through October. Nests found in late Falll are at maximum size and most aggressive — spring discovery is significantly safer.

How do I prevent hornets from building nests?

You can prevent pests in Lexington, KY by keeping all sweet food sealed. Check your roof vents and plug any open gaps. Seal small gaps near your pipes so pests cannot sneak in.

Can I remove a hornet nest on my own?

The right next step in Lexington, KY depends on where the hornet control activity is occurring. Disturbing a nest can trigger defensive stinging, so removal should be handled with appropriate protective equipment. ClearDefense technicians can treat reachable eaves up to twenty-five feet when the site conditions allow. Any follow-up is handled according to the documented terms for that service.

How long does hornet control treatment take?

For hornet control in Lexington, KY, the affected areas determine which steps are appropriate. Timing depends on nest location, height, access, and whether more than one active area is present. The technician identifies the insect, treats the relevant nest or activity area, and explains any applicable re-treatment terms. Follow the preparation and re-entry directions provided for the selected service.
