We were very impressed with our latest treatment with David from Clear Defense! He remembered questions from his first visit over 5 months ago and also spent the time to ask and listen about our prior services. OUR PROCESS

We Don't Just Knock Down the Nest. We Make Sure It Stays Gone.

We treat every active nest up to 25 feet high, included in your plan.

1. Inspect

We start by listening. Our technicians ask what you've been seeing and inspect the property to understand where pests are coming from and what conditions may be allowing them in.

2. Defend the Whole Property

Power sprayer treatment up to 30 ft, eaves, overhangs, every window and door seal, products that last 90 days, yard granulation included. Then we come back at 30 days to break the egg cycle.

3. Verify Every Step

After every visit, you get a defense report documenting every product by name, active ingredient, and EPA number. Your technician walks you through what was found and what was done. No mystery sprays. No guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about how ClearDefense protects your home, and why our process is different from day one.

What hornet species are most active in Cincinnati, OH?

Bald-faced hornets build large paper nests in trees and under eaves across Cincinnati, Covington, and surrounding communities. Yellow jackets are the more dangerous species — they nest underground and inside wall voids. Ohio River basin’s warm falls give both species active building conditions from May through October. Fall nests are at their largest and most aggressive.

How dangerous are bald-faced hornets in Cincinnati, OH?

Bald-faced hornets are aggressive defenders in the Cincinnati metro and will sting multiple times without warning when a nest is disturbed. A mature bald-faced hornet nest by August can hold several hundred workers. Yellow jackets are the more dangerous species in Ohio — they nest underground and in wall voids, going undetected until disturbed. Anyone with an insect sting sensitivity faces serious risk. Fall nests are at peak size and most aggressive — early spring discovery is far safer.

How do I prevent hornets from building nests?

Always keep your Cincinnati, OH kitchen spotless to stop hungry insects. Store your pantry food in thick jars so insects stay away. Fill wall cracks with strong caulk so they stay out.

Can I remove a hornet nest on my own?

A clear description of the activity in Cincinnati, OH helps the technician plan the visit. Disturbing a nest can trigger defensive stinging, so removal should be handled with appropriate protective equipment. ClearDefense technicians can treat reachable eaves up to twenty-five feet when the site conditions allow. The technician will explain how the plan applies to the property once the inspection is complete.

How long does hornet control treatment take?

The right next step in Cincinnati, OH depends on where the hornet control activity is occurring. Timing depends on nest location, height, access, and whether more than one active area is present. The technician identifies the insect, treats the relevant nest or activity area, and explains any applicable re-treatment terms. Details that cannot be confirmed before inspection will be reviewed at the property.
