Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ClearDefense has an excellent team. Today our services were completed by Ms. Kay . The team is always professional and knowledgeable of any pest problems one maybe experiencing. In addition we recently had some trees from our property removed.Kay made sure that the outside area was covered in order to eliminate bugs that are in excess when trees are removed from property. One of many things I love about this company they will provide services even if it’s not your quarterly visit scheduled. I highly recommend ClearDefense to anyone looking for exterminating services

OUR PROCESS

One Sting Can Send Someone to the ER. We Take That Seriously.

We suit up, locate every nest, and treat up to 25 feet high same day.

1. Inspect

We start by listening. Our technicians ask what you've been seeing and inspect the property to understand where pests are coming from and what conditions may be allowing them in.

2. Defend the Whole Property

Power sprayer treatment up to 30 ft, eaves, overhangs, every window and door seal, products that last 90 days, yard granulation included. Then we come back at 30 days to break the egg cycle.

3. Verify Every Step

After every visit, you get a defense report documenting every product by name, active ingredient, and EPA number. Your technician walks you through what was found and what was done. No mystery sprays. No guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about how ClearDefense protects your home, and why our process is different from day one.

What hornet species are most common in Charlotte, NC?

Bald-faced hornets are the most visible stinging insect in Piedmont NC, they build large gray paper nests in trees and under eaves. Yellow jackets are the more aggressive species, nesting underground near patios and inside wall voids. Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem homeowners see peak nest activity from June through October most years.

What types of hornets are most dangerous in Charlotte, NC?

Bald-faced hornets are aggressive nest defenders in Charlotte and throughout Mecklenburg County. They sting multiple times without warning when a nest is approached or disturbed. Anyone with a sting allergy faces serious risk near an active nest. Charlotte’s humid weather gives hornets a long building season from April through October. A nest found in October is at peak size and maximum aggression; spring discovery and early removal is a better option and simpler.

How do I prevent hornets from building nests?

Prevent a pest issue in Charlotte, NC by removing standing water. Wipe your dirty counters soon after you cook dinner. Fill wall cracks with strong caulk so they stay out.

Can I remove a hornet nest on my own?

Conditions differ from one Charlotte, NC property to another, so the service begins with the evidence present. Disturbing a nest can trigger defensive stinging, so removal should be handled with appropriate protective equipment. ClearDefense crew members can treat reachable eaves up to twenty-five feet when the site conditions allow. You can review the service-specific terms before authorizing the work.

How long does hornet control treatment take?

In Charlotte, NC, an inspection can separate isolated activity from a broader concern. Timing depends on nest location, height, access, and whether more than one active area is present. The crew member identifies the insect, treats the relevant nest or activity area, and explains any applicable re-treatment terms. You can review the service-specific terms before authorizing the work.
