OUR PROCESS

Summer Is When Populations Build. Fall Is When They Move Indoors.

We close entry points now so mice and rats have nowhere to go this fall.

1. Inspect

We start by listening. Our technicians ask what you've been seeing and inspect the property to understand where pests are coming from and what conditions may be allowing them in.

2. Defend the Whole Property

Power sprayer treatment up to 30 ft, eaves, overhangs, every window and door seal, products that last 90 days, yard granulation included. Then we come back at 30 days to break the egg cycle.

3. Verify Every Step

After every visit, you get a defense report documenting every product by name, active ingredient, and EPA number. Your technician walks you through what was found and what was done. No mystery sprays. No guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about how ClearDefense protects your home, and why our process is different from day one.

What rodents are most common in Baton Rouge, LA homes?

Roof rats are extremely common in Baton Rouge and Little Rock. Both cities have mature tree canopy that gives roof rats easy access to rooflines. House mice are the secondary complaint — they enter through foundation gaps and garage doors. Louisiana and Arkansas heat keeps both species active year-round unlike northern markets with cold-season pressure.

What are the signs of a rodent problem in Baton Rouge, LA?

Signs of a rodent problem in Baton Rouge include scratching sounds in the ceiling at night, droppings in the attic or under the kitchen sink, and chewed wiring or insulation. Roof rats are the dominant species here — they use the city’s mature tree canopy to access rooflines. Louisiana’s year-round warmth means rodent activity is consistent across all twelve months. Finding and sealing entry points at the roofline is the most critical step.

How do I prevent a rodent problem?

Stop creeping bugs in Baton Rouge, LA by picking up dead yard leaves. Keep indoor trash cans shut tight to block bad smells. Never let wet garden soil touch your wood siding.

Can I get rid of rodents on my own?

For rodent control in Baton Rouge, LA, the affected areas determine which steps are appropriate. Traps or bait may reduce activity, but they do not correct entry points by themselves. ClearDefense uses trapping and rodenticide programs as appropriate, while the customer remains responsible for required structural repairs unless separately arranged. The next step is based on verified activity, accessible areas, and the selected service.

How long does rodent control treatment take?

A focused inspection in Baton Rouge, LA helps identify the source and the appropriate service steps. Timing depends on property size, attic or crawlspace access, the number of entry points, and whether follow-up trapping or baiting is needed. There is no single set time for every rodent job. The technician will explain the applicable next steps after reviewing the affected areas.
