Expert Hornet Control in Jacksonville, FL

Same-day service • Local specialists • Dual guarantee

This is peak time for hornet control in Jacksonville, and the nest often stays hidden until stings start in the yard, near the roofline, or by a doorway.

We find the entry points, treat the full colony, and come back if they return, because visible hornets are usually only the ones we can see.

OUR PROCESS

Hornets Don't Wait. Neither Does Our Crew.

We find every nest, treat up to 25 feet high, no extra fees.

1. Inspect

We start by listening. Our technicians ask what you've been seeing and inspect the property to understand where pests are coming from and what conditions may be allowing them in.

2. Defend the Whole Property

Power sprayer treatment up to 30 ft, eaves, overhangs, every window and door seal, products that last 90 days, yard granulation included. Then we come back at 30 days to break the egg cycle.

3. Verify Every Step

After every visit, you get a defense report documenting every product by name, active ingredient, and EPA number. Your technician walks you through what was found and what was done. No mystery sprays. No guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about how ClearDefense protects your home, and why our process is different from day one.

What hornet species are most active in Jacksonville, FL?

Bald-faced hornets are the most common hornet species near Jacksonville homes. They build large paper nests in trees, under eaves, and in dense shrubs. Florida’s warmth allows nest-building to start earlier than most states — by fall, nests can hold several hundred hornets. Yellow jackets also build nests underground near patios and play areas.

Are bald-faced hornets a risk near Jacksonville, FL homes?

Bald-faced hornets are aggressive defenders of their nest and will sting multiple times without provocation if the nest is disturbed. Their venom can cause severe allergic reactions; anaphylaxis is a real risk for anyone with insect sting sensitivities. Florida’s warmth allows nest-building to start earlier in the year than most states. By late fall a single nest can hold 400 to 700 hornets. Yellow jackets near patios add additional sting risk at ground level.

How do I prevent hornets from building nests?

Protect your Jacksonville, FL space from pests with a neat yard. Fix dripping outdoor hoses so pests have zero water. Fill wall cracks with strong caulk so they stay out.

Can I remove a hornet nest on my own?

A clear description of the activity in Jacksonville, FL helps the technician plan the visit. Disturbing a nest can trigger defensive stinging, so removal should be handled with appropriate protective equipment. ClearDefense technicians can treat reachable eaves up to twenty-five feet when the site conditions allow. Follow the preparation and re-entry directions provided for the selected service.

How long does hornet control treatment take?

At a Jacksonville, FL property, the technician reviews active areas before recommending the next steps. Timing depends on nest location, height, access, and whether more than one active area is present. The technician identifies the insect, treats the relevant nest or activity area, and explains any applicable re-treatment terms. The technician will explain how the plan applies to the property once the inspection is complete.
