Same-day service • Local specialists • Dual guarantee

Hornets in Memphis can build hidden nests fast, and the threat often stays out of sight until someone gets stung near a doorway, porch, or attic.

We find the entry points, treat the whole nest and colony, not just the hornets you can see, and we come back and treat again if they return.

We were very impressed with our latest treatment with David from Clear Defense! He remembered questions from his first visit over 5 months ago and also spent the time to ask and listen about our prior services. OUR PROCESS

Eaves, Overhangs, Soffits. We Check All of It.

We suit up and treat every active nest up to 25 feet high, same day.

1. Inspect

We start by listening. Our technicians ask what you've been seeing and inspect the property to understand where pests are coming from and what conditions may be allowing them in.

2. Defend the Whole Property

Power sprayer treatment up to 30 ft, eaves, overhangs, every window and door seal, products that last 90 days, yard granulation included. Then we come back at 30 days to break the egg cycle.

3. Verify Every Step

After every visit, you get a defense report documenting every product by name, active ingredient, and EPA number. Your technician walks you through what was found and what was done. No mystery sprays. No guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about how ClearDefense protects your home, and why our process is different from day one.

What hornet species are most common in Memphis, TN?

Bald-faced hornets are the most common hornet species near Memphis and Bartlett homes. They build large paper nests in trees and under overhangs throughout the fall. Yellow jackets are the underground nesting species — frequently found near patios and in lawn areas of Shelby County homes. Mississippi River basin heat gives both species a long active season each year.

How dangerous are hornet nests near Memphis, TN homes?

Bald-faced hornets near Memphis homes are aggressive defenders — they sting multiple times without warning when a nest is disturbed. Yellow jackets nest underground near Shelby County patios and in wall voids. Both species pose serious risk to anyone with a sting allergy. Mississippi River basin heat gives both species a long active season from late March through October. Late-season nests can hold several hundred hornets — early spring discovery and removal is the safest approach.

How do I prevent hornets from building nests?

Keep critters away from your Memphis, TN property by fixing wet spots. Sweep up loose floor crumbs daily so pests find nothing. Patch up any holes in your window screens fast.

Can I remove a hornet nest on my own?

The right next step in Memphis, TN depends on where the hornet control activity is occurring. Disturbing a nest can trigger defensive stinging, so removal should be handled with appropriate protective equipment. ClearDefense technicians can treat reachable eaves up to twenty-five feet when the site conditions allow. Questions about access or preparation can be resolved when the appointment is scheduled.

How long does hornet control treatment take?

In Memphis, TN, an inspection can separate isolated activity from a broader concern. Timing depends on nest location, height, access, and whether more than one active area is present. The technician identifies the insect, treats the relevant nest or activity area, and explains any applicable re-treatment terms. The technician will explain how the plan applies to the property once the inspection is complete.
